When Firefly Aerospace flew Alpha Flight 2, the team's flight suits came through our shop first. We had the honor of embroidering the suits for the crew behind the mission.

A flight suit is not a polo. The fabric, the placement, and the way a stitch has to sit on a garment built for that kind of work all get weighed carefully, because stitch count, thread weight, and fabric pull change with the material.

So we did what we always do: digitized the artwork for the garment, ran a test stitch-out, and didn't touch the real suits until it was right. There are jobs where close enough is fine — this was not one of them.

The mission was a success, and we're still proud to have played our small part. Congratulations again to the Firefly team — being trusted with an event that important is the kind of thing a shop like ours doesn't forget.
