- Thread colors tested directly against the camo print so the logo keeps contrast on a busy pattern
Our friend Bobbi at Native Touch Healing has always supported the military, and these custom camo hats were our way of helping her do it. Some jobs you take because they pay; this one we loved making.
Camo is a tricky canvas. The pattern itself is busy, so the thread has to carry all the contrast — pick a color too close to any patch of the print and the logo vanishes. We test spools directly against the fabric until the design pops from every angle.
Density matters more on camo too. The mottled background hides thin coverage, so we digitize with tighter fill than we would on a solid blank, and stitch a real proof on the actual camo cap before the run — never on a stand-in fabric.
It's the kind of small decision-stack that separates a hat you wear once from one you reach for daily. The blank underneath matters just as much, and we're picky about which camo caps we'll put a logo on.
If you're on the Central Coast with a design that means something to you — for your business, your people, or a cause you show up for — bring it by. We'll stitch it like it matters, because it does.
