Poctown RWA bike crew

The Poctown RWA bike crew rolled out one Sunday with their hats on, and that's the kind of sight we love — gear we stitched, out in the world, doing what it's for. It was a great event, and we were glad for the chance to support a local crew.

A crew hat has one job: make a group of riders read as one crew from across the street. That comes down to a logo digitized clean enough to be legible at a distance, with thread colors that hold their contrast in full sun.

Hats are less forgiving than they look. The front panel curves in two directions, so we hoop each cap on a frame that holds the crown steady and run the design center-out so nothing puckers. The blank matters too — a structured front holds a logo crisp ride after ride.

Crews grow, and hats get passed to new riders. Because the design stays on file, adding a few more before the next ride is a quick job that matches the originals exactly.
