Royals

New hat for our local baseball team, the Royals. There's a particular kind of pride in stitching for a team from your own town, and this one's right down the road from us here in Lompoc.

A ballcap is a small canvas with no place to hide, so the Royals mark had to read clean from the dugout to the back row. We built it on a structured cap front, because a firm panel holds a logo crisp instead of letting fine edges pull and pucker on a soft, unstructured front.

Before the team run we digitized the mark and ran a stitched-out sample, the way we do on any batch. We put the proof in our hands, checked the crest against the cap, set the thread colors once, and only then committed to the full roster.

We kept the file, too, so when a new player comes up or a cap gets loved hard through a season, the reorder matches the originals exactly. No drift, no re-digitizing, no guessing on the next batch.
