Strikers soccer team

Showtime for the season. We outfitted the Strikers with custom parkas, made locally for Lompoc athletes — and there's nothing like seeing a whole sideline wearing something that came off our machines.

A parka is a different animal from a jersey. The shell is built to shed weather, which means the embroidery has to go on without compromising it — we use a sharp fine-point needle and cutaway backing so the stitching stays put through a wet season without stressing the fabric.

Team gear also has to survive being team gear: stuffed in bags, sat on, worn in the rain, washed by a dozen different households. Thread wins that fight — embroidery won't crack or peel the way printed names do, which is why we tell sports parents it's worth it.

There's something right about local athletes wearing locally made gear. The proof got stitched here, the run happened here, and if the roster grows mid-season, the reorder happens here too — fast, and matching the originals exactly.
