The Buck Channel

Order ready for our friends from The Buck Channel in Los Olivos — 5-panel khaki hats, stitched and boxed. When a client becomes a friend of the shop, the standard does not relax; it goes up.

A 5-panel is a different canvas than a standard six-panel cap. The flat front gives the design one uninterrupted field, so placement and balance carry the whole look — there is no center seam to hide behind.

Khaki is a quiet, earthy base, and it rewards restraint. We matched thread to the hat rather than fighting it, keeping the mark crisp against the panel — the right cap and the right stitch do most of the talking.

As always, the design was digitized properly before it ever touched a hat — stitch direction and density mapped to the panel fabric so the front stays smooth, not bunched.
