County of Santa Barbara

People know us for the hoop, but the press runs just as often in the back of the shop. When the County of Santa Barbara came to us through the team at Hasbarco, the housing authority, the job called for screen-printed shirts, and that's exactly what we set up for — ink on fabric, done right.

Screen printing is its own craft. We burned the screens for the artwork, mixed and matched the ink colors, and pulled a test print to check the registration and the cure before the full run started. A printed shirt lives or dies on those first few pulls, so we don't rush them — we get the proof looking right, then we commit to the run.

Working with the Hasbarco team was the kind of project that reminds you why you do this. They came in with a clear vision for the apparel and trusted us to carry it onto the shirts, and that trust is something we don't take lightly. Their belief in the work showed up in every detail we got to sweat.
