Ellie's Tap and Vine in Santa Ynez is the kind of place people go for delicious food, great wine, and a good time. When Joy asked us to put their brand on hats, the brief came with something we love: amazing color.
Color is where embroidery either sings or falls flat. Every hue in a logo has to be matched to a physical spool, and the order the colors stitch in changes how the finished mark reads. We pulled candidates from our thread library and tested until the combination held together on the cap.
Hats add their own demands — a curved surface, a seam down the middle, and a small field where every detail counts. We digitize for the cap specifically rather than reusing flat artwork, so the logo sits crisp on the crown.
Working with a restaurant on colors this lively is a good day in the shop. Thanks to Joy for the opportunity, and for trusting us stitch by stitch.
If you run a restaurant or tasting room on the Central Coast and your brand has real color in it, we'd like to see it. Send it over through our quote page and we'll come back with a stitched proof, not a guess.
