La Piranha came in wanting a limited batch of trucker caps built around their fish logo — and not just one color, but a spread of colorways so the line had some range to it. A logo that has to hold up across several different cap colors puts the pressure on the digitizing, since one file has to read clean on every front.
So we did it the careful way: digitized the fish once, ran a stitched-out proof, and checked how it sat against each colorway before committing to the run. A mark that looks sharp on a light cap can disappear on a dark one if the thread isn't chosen right, and a real stitch-out is the only way to know for sure.
Trucker caps were the right call here — structured fronts that keep the fish crisp and upright, with the breathable mesh back people actually want to wear. Embroidered onto that blank, the logo holds its shape across the whole batch instead of softening after a few washes.
Because it was a limited run, matching mattered. We kept the file, so every colorway came off the same source and a future restock would land identical — same fish, same placement, no drift between batches.
A spread of colorways from a single clean file is exactly the kind of job a local shop should nail. We're right here in Lompoc on N 8th St — send us the logo and the colors, and we'll stitch you a real proof before the run.
